Accompanying the Madulkelle Tea an Eco Lodge chef for a short
walk around our organic vegetable and herb garden and pick
a basket full of the day’s fresh, in season produce.
Lear to identify fresh herbs and how they grow. Then, join the chef
in the traditional kitchen for hands -on cooking lesson of typical Sri Lankan
hill country dishes.

A GUIDED VISIT TO MADULKELLE (2HRS)

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Madulkelle was one of the main in the region during British planter’s period.
Your first stop will be an Anglican Church built in 1837, by British planters.
Adjoining you will see the burial grounds of the planters of past.
Following this, you’ll visit the Madulkelle Hospital, an interesting
place for those interested in British colonial architecture. The visit ends
with a stop at the Kelebokka Hindu Temple for a traditional Hindu blessing.

in our « tour with cause » project. While getting to know

KNUCKLES DAY TREKKING (6HRS)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Trekking in the Knuckles mountain range starts at the entry point of Gomaraya, around 60 minutes drive frome the hotel. The final
destination is 1864 above the sea level, an uphilldrive.
The distance from the entry point to final destination point is around 7.5 km.
The full trek will take 4 -6 hrs. Explore crystal clear waterfalls, endemic
flora and fauna.

This experience is great for lovers of the outdoors. Rise early and be
driven by 4x4 jeeps to entry point of Gomaraya and walk to the
camp site, located approximately 1500 m above sea level.
